OPTIMIZATION OF CULTURE CONDITIONS FOR KOJIC ACID PRODUCTION IN SURFACE FERMENTATION BY ASPERGILLUS ORYZAE ISOLATED FROM WHEAT GRAINS

نویسندگان

چکیده

Kojic acid is a natural organic synthesized during aerobic fermentation of carbohydrates as secondary metabolite by some species Aspergillus and has been used commercially in several industrial applications. The current investigation aims to optimize the culture conditions for kojic production from starch carbon source novel isolate oryzae 1034. Seventy-five isolates representing 11 were isolated stored wheat grains screened biosynthesis. Amongst, A. 1034 was selected most potent producer starch. This strain subjected different maximize versus glucose. results concluded that glucose substrates concentrations 60 80 g/l, respectively optima production. optimum phosphorus concentration 0.5 2.0 g/l KH2PO4 media, respectively. maximum yield attained at 28oC days incubation both media with pH 4.5 5.0, Supplementation Pb+2 medium Zn+2 stimulated biosynthesis 79.3 68.8 Alternatively, decreased supplementation amino acids medium. These findings suggest possibility using promising.

Amylase production from Aspergillus oryzae LS1 by solid-state fermentation and its use for the hydrolysis of wheat flour

Nine Aspergillus and three of Trichoderma strains were grown on wheat bran (WB) medium under solid state fermentation (SSF) for amylase production. Aspergillus oryzae LS1 produced the highest level of the enzyme. The thermal stability profile of its crude enzyme revealed the half-life time of more than 2 h at 50 and 60ºC. The enzyme production was affected by strain type, incubation periods, le...

Aspergillus oryzae-based cell factory for direct kojic acid production from cellulose

BACKGROUND Kojic acid (5-Hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-4-pyrone) is one of the major secondary metabolites in Aspergillus oryzae. It is widely used in food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. The production cost, however, is too high for its use in many applications. Thus, an efficient and cost-effective kojic acid production process would be valuable. However, little is known about the complete set o...

Solid State Fermentation for Production of Chitosan by Aspergillus Niger

The effect of Solid State Fermentation (SSF) on Chitosan production by A. niger was investigated. A. niger BBRC 20004 from Biochemical and Bioenvironmental Research Centre of Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, Iran), was grown on corn residue. Chitosan was extracted from the fungal mycelia using hot alkaline and acid treatment. A. niger was incubated for 12 days on corn residue with moist...

Alpha Amylase Production by Aspergillus Oryzae Using Solid State Fermentation

A fungal strain of Aspergillus oryzae was used for the production of alpha amylase by solid state fermentation from agro-industrial waste. Enzyme production was growth associated and maximum activity (8.23 U/ml) were obtained after 120h when incubated at 30°C on wheat bran with initial moisture content 60%; initial medium pH = 5 . Enzyme activity increased when the solid medium was supplemented...
